What is the Norwegian sewn?

In the assembly of shoes, it extracts several types of sews: Goodyear, Blake, Bolognais, Chausson, California ... and the Norwegian sewn.

But then what is the Norwegian sewn?

This sewn, which is also called Tyrolean sewn, is a technique that allows the shoe to be assembled in a robust and waterproof way.
We use a leather strip, the welt, to connect the upper to the sole.
A first seam comes to join the hectic, the shoe stem and the first assembly: It is the Norwegian sewing.
A second seam well connect the hectic and the wear sole: It is the sewing small points.

It is one of the most complex construction to make but it is also the most robust and the most waterproof, which was at the outset for the start of mountain shoes.

It is today the trademark of brand Paraboot and Heschung and to find in our collections.

Style Michael, iconic from Paraboot is a good example, just like Style Ginkgo At Heschung.
